The Family Promise of Tulsa County Board of Trustees has named Cindy Beasley as the interim executive director beginning Jan. 16. Beasley will take a leave of absence from her current role as board chair to take the new position.
“Cindy is extraordinarily capable, passionate about the mission of Family Promise of Tulsa County, and is also willing to accept this role,” said Jeff Jaynes, chair of the board’s personnel committee.

The Board of Trustees of Family Promise of Tulsa County accepted the resignation of Kendra Morgan, executive director, during a Dec. 4 meeting. Morgan’s resignation will take effect Jan. 15.
“We appreciate Kendra’s support of the families we serve and wish her well in her future endeavors,” said Cindy Beasley, President of the Board of Trustees.
Morgan joined Family Promise of Tulsa County in April 2018. During her tenure, Family Promise opened its resource center and continues to graduate families from homelessness into a sustainable future.
“Our organization is fortunate to have amazing volunteers and a strong board who will make sure Family Promise of Tulsa County continues to help homeless families achieve sustainable independence,” Beasley said. “The Family Promise model is proven as a way for communities to address the challenge of family homelessness by using existing resources, making it efficient and cost effective.”
Thirteen faith communities in Tulsa County are hosts for Family Promise families, opening their houses of worship for overnight stays. Nine other faith groups serve as support congregations, providing regular assistance for the program.
The board’s personnel committee will start an immediate search for a new executive director.
