Core Team Chair

Cindy has deep roots in Tulsa with extended family in the local area. She has a degree in Business Administration and over 15 years of experience in nonprofit work. She has served on the LAM Foundation Board nationally, local boards in a variety of capacities, and has received certification from the Indiana School of Philanthropy. She has experience in strategic planning, best practice development for board establishment, and financial management. Cindy is a member of St. Antony’s Orthodox Church in Tulsa.

Core Team Vice Chair

Ralph is a retired physician-surgeon, and provided health care to the poor at Neighbor-for-Neighbor.  He is a member of, and has served as a lay leader at, Faith United Methodist Church, and presently serves as a member of their mission committee. 

Community Advisor

​Jeff is the Executive Director of Restore Hope Ministries, an outreach agency to help families in need and prevent homelessness. He recently served as chair of “A Way Home for Tulsa”, the collective response of 23 agencies in our community to help those who are homeless move into housing. He is a United Methodist pastor, having served 5 years at Southern Hills United Methodist Church. Jeff worked at local and national levels of public service before entering into ministry.

Secretary

Ursula is a retired CPA and former VP of Finance and Administration at Arrow Trucking Co.  She is a member of Leadership Tulsa Class XV and is a former member of the following boards: Western Neighbors, DVIS, Alzheimer’s Assoc, Youth Services of Tulsa. She has a passion for children and their various needs, and has led fundraising projects for PTA and the Girls Scouts. She is a member of, and serves on the Finance Board at, Christ United Methodist Church.

Treasurer

Ann has been a member of Fellowship Lutheran Church in Tulsa for the last 40 years. She has experience in personnel, accounting, and space design planning. Ann also volunteers finding resources for foster children, and has been involved with Beds for Kids in the past.

Host Recruitment Chair

Kim is the current co-Chair of Christ United Methodist Church’s Mission Board.  Besides a history of four international mission trips, she works full-time as a Proposal Specialist at Halliburton Energy Services and is affiliated with the local Society of Petroleum Engineers.  She has also served as a past secretary of the Hoover Neighborhood Association. 

Marketing & Communications Chair

Vanessa is the owner of Komara Marketing Group where she is a Marketing Consultant working exclusively with small businesses and nonprofit organizations.  She has over 20 years of experience in  Digital Marketing,  Marketing Strategy, & Public Relations.  In addition to working as a Marketing Consultant, Vanessa is also an Adjunct Professor at Oklahoma State University where she teaches International Marketing and International Business.  Vanessa is very active with her church and serves as the Marketing & Communications Director for the Northeast Oklahoma Disciples Women.  Vanessa has a passion for her community and has served on the Board of Directors for several nonprofit organizations in Oklahoma.  She currently serves as the Marketing Consultant for John Hope Franklin Center for Reconciliation.  In 2014, Vanessa received a commendation from the State of Oklahoma for her leadership and contributions made to the City of Tulsa. 

Board Member

Charla is the Senior Pastor for Faith United Methodist Church. She also serves the greater United Methodist Church on the Conference’s Board of Pension and Health Benefits. She has helped establish a partnership with the local elementary school, and developed a program called “Mission Wednesdays” to showcase the importance of hands-on service.
